Could go with an 850w version for $10 less :)

Thx alot. But will the ram be a problem? on pc part picker it says

"The G.Skill - TridentZ 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-4600 Memory operating voltage of 1.5V exceeds the Intel Kaby Lake-S CPU recommended maximum of 1.35V+5% (1.417V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.35V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum."

True. The problem is that the system will draw well under 200W most of the time. An 850W psu will be out of its 80+ Gold efficiency zone. Even a 550W unit is a bit on the large side.

Not sure what RAM you're looking at unless you're looking at something different from the links.

If you're looking at 4600 speed memory, don't. It will offer near 0 performance gain.

Ah, your quote shows 4600 memory which would be overkill.

3000 and 3200 should all run within spec :)

Then go with an 8600K, it will out perform the 7700K in all tasks and is the same price.

Then go with the i7-8600K as @Lurick suggests or the i7-8700. With the i7-8700 you could also drop the H100i v2 in favor of a Cryorig H7. Further lowering the cost.

Buying Coffee Lake extends the useful life of the system.

should i buy everything else and just wait out the cpu?

If you have to have a system by 11/27, you could do that. But there is no guaranty that one of the cpu would come to one of the merchants. Especially given that it is a weekend.

Is the issue with an i7-8700K cost?

Working from your build list, I've made adjustments that bring the cost down without seriously affecting performance. Some of these prices are sale specials and may not last too long. You may also want to check the Newegg web site and any newsletters for specials/promo codes that might apply.

I would suggest a better psu.

I'm not sure you would see any benefit from a hybrid hdd used for data. As a system drive they do improve performance. However, the relatively small ssd cache (8GB I believe) is less useful with broader access patterns. Although if you are gaming and tend to play one title at a time, you might see a small benefit.

The GTX 1070 FTW2 iCX is on sale. It has a back plate unlike the ACX 3.0 Black and boasts more thermal sensors. However, there are those who prefer ACX 3.0 coolers.
