Is 1080p at 60fps entry level for gaming these days

Listen been having this heated discussion over on facebook about is 1080p at 60fps entry level for gaming am i wrong because i dont think it is entry level been as a search i found which i quoted in this discussion is that a rig playing battlefield 1 a AAA game was running a i5 7600k cpu and gtx 1060 in order to achieve 60fps could i be so wrong on please let me know guys

1080p @ 60 is still a good point to hit. there is no such thing as "entry level gaming" when it comes to resolution and frame rate so those people are idiots. some people are happy with 720p @ 30. it completely depends on the person and the computer.

 

i personally only aim for 1080p@60 because that's what my monitor supports.

Entry level is pretty subjective. Although 1080@60 with atleast medium settings I consider that entry level, you can achieve that with less than a 1060 on most games

Entry level for me is around $500 worth. For that, you might get 1080 60 fps with "maybe" medium settings in games like bf1 and such games. Resolution has nothing to do with it really, it´s the graphic settings that matter.

If you look at monitor sold today then 1080p 60Hz is the majority of them.

I've been playing with my FPS locked at 60 with all ultra settings on a 1920x1080 monitor for some time now (imo it looks great), i don't plan on stepping up until a single GPU can do the same at 4k.  That upgrade is really going to hurt my savings with the GPU+monitor at once lol
