Sennheiser HD 6xx

Hi all, as many of you probably know the Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6xx just came back to Massdrop and I was wondering if I should get them. Right now I have a pair of 598s and would like to upgrade, and I can afford the $200 price tags of the 6xx. I mainly listen to jazz and I have heard mixed reports on whether or not these are good for jazz, I have heard many say the 600s are better. I have a solid state amp I could use to power these (Teac ai101da) and while it is not the most powerful I suspect it will get the job done. So should I buy these headphones to listen to jazz?

Hmm, while I do listen to some Jazz, I'm not really into it. Jazz, to me, should sound more intimate, like the instruments and singers should sound closer to each other and to me (like, say, in a Jazz club), the HD6XX has a narrower soundstage which, imo, suits Jazz music. I tried listening to Jazz on the HD800, everything gets so diffused that I find myself not getting into it, everything sounded far away.......the HD800 is great for orchestral pieces, Jazz isn't its forte. Just my impression anyway, wait for the the audio guys to reply.
