[Help] Difference between BenQ's

Azurek

Hi everyone,

I was about to purchase this monitor: BenQ GW2765HT (328.57 Euros), when I saw that there was also a discount for the: BenQ PD2700Q (379.95 Euros) which costs 51 Euros more.

What are the differences between the two, and which would you recommend? Aesthetically the PD2700Q looks soo much better than the GW2765HT, but I would not pay an extra 51 euros just for aesthetics.

BenQ GW2765HT: Here
BenQ PD277Q: Here

Thank you in advance!!

I’m not French so I don’t really understand, but the specs that were recognizable were the same

With the specs of the panel they are pretty much the same. The main differences are when they came out and the inputs.

BenQ GW2765HT

Release: 2014

Inputs: DVI-D, VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort

BenQ PD2700Q

Release: 2016

Inputs: HDMI, DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort, USB 2.0 Upstream & Downstream

Probably just different lines for a similar panel. The GW being more gaming oriented, the PD being more business.

BenQ Uses the same panels in lots of their screens. ie the XL2311z and XL2420 and up are all the same panel, you pay for looks, functions and IO.

Do note this doesn't cover cross-market, so the XL and GW won't use the same panel.

The difference I can see is yes while the same panel, the PD Is "tuned" and configured for Creative work. The doesn't mean it'll be better for gaming at all. I'd just go with the GW, its just a normal good screen. Save the cash unless you are doing color correction and stuff like that.

Redstone:
i7-4770 / Z97 / GTX 980 / Corsair 16GB  / H90 / 400C / Antec EDGE / Neutron GTX240 / Intel 240Gb / WD 2TB / BenQ XL24

Obsidian:

MSI GE60 2PE i7-4700HQ / 860M / 12GB / WE 1TB / m.Sata 256gb/Elagto USB HD Capture Card

Razer Deathadder Chroma / Razer Blackwidow TE Chroma / Kingston Cloud2's / Sennheiser 429 / Logitech Z333

Quick question:

IIyama Prolite XUB2792QSU-B1 is sold at about 45euros more [URL: IIYAMA], although it doesn't say anything on amazon.fr, it is apparently an IPS + Freesync panel on top of being edge-to-edge which I really like.

The only difference i saw was in the contrast; the Iiyama says 5,000,000 whereas the BenQ says 1000:1, I have no idea what this means, could someone help me out?
