Hello everyone, i recent just finished my z270 7700k build, and everything went very smoothly with the acception of Auido driver issues which i resolved. But one I finished downloading all the important updated drivers, my internet started being extremely slow very choppy, extremely abnormal! I have 100gb internet, and a M.2 for my main raid, but on this new build i temporarily have only 8gb Ram for now. But i doubt that can be the source of this issue. I know something went wrong during Drivers DL' process, because my internet was blazing fast literally minutes after a fresh Windows 10 install, couple minutes before I really started downloading my drivers. I'm researching some Network troubleshooting solutions right now, but If anyone has had similar issues or just experienced in Network troubleshooting, if you can please spare some time to shoot any ideas or solutions, I would be much appreciated.

Restart router and modem. If speed test is showing consistent 100Gbps over multiple tests it very well could be perceived slowness. Or individual sites causing problems.

Or if you are doing heavy downloads on your computer it could bog the internet down.

You're not downloading at 100Gb, you're getting 100Mb, unless you have enterprise grade optics and fiber.

If a speedtest shows you getting your speed, it's very possible the browser is showing it in MB/s instead of Mb/s. 1MB = 8Mb

The big B and little b make a huge difference.

Haha, it's all good :P

Just check though for a big B or little b. If it's a big B when downloading then multiply the number by 8 to get it in Mbps, which is how internet speeds are sold.

It's confusing but if you know that information is sent in bits (1 and 0) and the smallest consumable information by a computer is a byte (8 bits) then it makes more sense :)
