I have never built a pc before but I feel I have done enough research for this pc to be very nice. I plan to play 1080p now but plan to move up to 1440p monitor in the future. Please tell be any advice for first time builders and feel free to make suggestions on different components and I would like to spend no more then 1200 https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Jtxqcc

What parts do you have?

You've left out a mouse so I'm assuming you have one, but if you have any other peripherals, it might be an okay choice to re-use.

I second that, an MSI Mortar or Gaming Pro might do the trick.

*facepalm*

B350M is awful, Mortar is better but still meh.

You want atleast Prime B350 Plus for R5 1600

The mobo is piece of junk

the mobo isn't that bad, mines been running my 1600 at 3.8ghz just fine since they were purchased in May.

Edit - just realised his list has the gaming 3 where mines the plain "gaming" with no numbers. can't imagine they're too different though.
