So I'm new to building a PC, so much so that I've only just recently gotten into even watching Linus (or anyone) build PCs or review parts. What I'm wondering Is if anyone could help me by suggesting parts for what I'm hoping to make as my first gaming/video editing/personal use PC. I've picked out a case, but beyond that I'm actually pretty clueless as to what will and won't work together. Any help Is appreciated, and i thank you in advance.

(Attached Is a link to the case I'm wanting to work this into)

No peripherals, just the inner workings. As for budget, I'd prefer not to spend more than $1500 US overall, and if at all possible- though by no means required- I'd like to stick to the red/black color scheme as much as possible.

$1490

Red & Black; CPU Cooler, Graphics Card, Motherboard

Black; RAM, PSU

That is a suitable build for all three tasks, however a ryzen 1700 would be better video rendering

CPU: Ryzen 1700@3.9ghz; GPU: EVGA 560 Ti 1gb; RAM: 16gb 2x8 Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000; PCPP: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/b3xzzM

This post is more suited for New Builds and Planning.

What resolution and framerate will you be gaming at?

Which programs will you use for video editing?

Honestly i don't expect to break 1080p30, especially not for my first build because I'm currently limited with my monitor. As for editing, i have more practice in Vegas than anything, but I've got a friend that's going to introduce me to more options. I do apologize for posting this on the wrong forum, that's my bad, i wasn't paying attention

I'd like to thank you all for your help, I really do appreciate it

If you won't upgrade your monitor, change the GPU to the RX 580 or GTX 1060 6GB. Those are good for 1080p.

You could change the SSD to a lower capacity NVMe drive, or to a SATA drive.
