Some routers also require you to add a firewall rule. You might want to check that.

i was just looking at stuff about that, would it be safe if i disable it?

Better to just add a rule for that port to allow it. You can disable to test if it works. But then create a rule and re-enable the firewall.

som routers dont apply port forwarding unless u reset em ( manual ofc )

ive reset it so many times, through the online page and physically doing it. i cant play cod with my friend because of this, really annoying.

u dont need to port forward cod to play it... its a firewall blocking then , either in windows or router , add the cod exe to exceptions in router/windows ( i personally think its just windows blocking it )

in game it says my nat is strict or moderate, tells me to forward ports 3074. ill try allowing it through my firewall now. i can connect to one friend but not the other.

yeah it says its a strict mode because the firewall blocks the connection? -.-

port forwarding is only required really when u host a server :v

i never had to portforward anything to play a game

tbh, it could be that ur friend has the port blocked, the one who hosts the party needs to forward? o,o

Known Issues

The following issues have a fix in progress or are under investigation.

Issue

Description

Status

I can't accept an invitation.
– All platforms

Some players are unable to join another player through an invite and receive a message stating "You need to select a Division first."

What should I do?
Be sure that the person inviting you has Party Privacy set to Open. To change Party Privacy, go to the PARTY filter in the Social tab, then open the Party Options menu on the right and set Party Privacy to Open.

We've found that some players who receive this message played their first Multiplayer as the second player in splitscreen. Join a non-splitscreen Multiplayer match where you are the primary player and you should be able to select a Division.

Under investigation
