So, I bought new RAM, Its "Team 8gb 2133mhz" so i installed it. and it was working fine but then i noticed it wasnt at 2133mhz. so i went into the bios and changed it and it didnt work so i turned it back down to 1600mhz and i went to go start my computer again and it wont start and it tries to run system repairs all the time and it asks if i want to restore my pc to a old restore point so i did and it still didnt work. so then i figured "this cant be the ram its even saying its a OS problem" so i went and bought windows 8.1 and put it on a flash drive "I dont have a cd drive" and i tried to install it, and it didnt work, so then i got this :http://www.pendrivelinux.com/ which worked when i installed windows 8 originally but this time it didnt. and it would just run the boot process over and over and over, so i tried redoing it and what not a few times and again, boot sequence over and over. so then i figured ive tried everything how about if i put my old ram back in, and so i did and BAM its working fine.

How can ram effect the OS like that?

What is the problem with the ram? (I know i didnt fry it or harm it.)

And what do i do?

Thank you.

You prolly have messed the timings or something, usually 2133 exceeds the recommended voltages of ivy bridge for RAM (1.575V) also there's the small issue of the RAM being rated above the maximum recommended speeds for a 3570k, being that it'd be automagically downclocked and down volted to 1600 to avoid issues. Since you said you took it back up to stock setting you may have caused an issue in that regard. They also tested the GD-65 with some 1600 and 2133mhz RAM DIMMs none of them being from Team (par one 1600mhz kit), some work, but most don't. You may have fried the dimms themselves, I'd recommend trying to chkdisk and seeing if you can pull up an error there, then trying a BIOS reset. If all else fails, return for a refund/RMA and get a 1600 kit.
