It's cheap chinese stuff, if you keep your expectations low enough it can be good stuff. I have a cheap mechanical chinese keyboard and it's awesome. Same goes for cheap game mice. I bought one, died after a year if daily use in school, usb port got worn out, just bought a new one after that and that one is still going well but i don't think it will last long anymore but hey, it's cheap, who cares.

i've had high end stuff die on me before 

this is a brief history of me and keyboards (since i came back in gaming late 2015ish)

logitech g105s (got bored)-->steelseries apex m800 (randon keys wont work , traded in )-->razer blackwidowa chroma (keys sucked ass ,so sold off)--> corsair k95 RGB(MX blue, later RMA ed to MX browns)-->brings back g105s for 2ary setup(dies)-->quickfire rapid (mx browns,dies within a week )-->cashback +1k from my pocket gets k70 rapidfire

Meanwhile, old-ass razer blackwidow with blue LED illuminated razer logo and MX blues, still going.

Cheap chinese keyboard (27 euro's) without numpad, fake mx blues and led's, still going as well

 

I guess you got very unlucky then. You have my condolences.
