HP DV4 not posting

So I have this laptop that wont post what so ever. I power it on and the fans ramp up to max then quiet down and nothing happens. All the LED's and fans seem to work fine but it wont post or boot. Theres also no HDD activity

Boot without HDD attatched?

Reset BIOS?

Charger output?

The screen wont turn on (gonna test it soon on an external display)

Ive yet to boot it without the HDD out

It wont post so BIOS reset isnt posible I think (Maybe taking out the CMOS?)

The charger is what keeps the laptop alive so lol

Charger - does the output match what it says it should be.

 

You need to connect an external monitor via VGA firstly because you don't know what if anything is happening without that.

 

On a laptop you just remove the MB battery and power drain it for a while with the main battery and RAM out. Some laptops do require specific pins shorting to reset however so you'd need to look it up.

 

Try booting it without the battery in and just the charger attatched.

1. It just barely matches 

2. Yeah ik that, i have my main monitor with VGA and HDMI (Odly enough this laptop has both)

3. Hmm ill give it a go

Well I dont have any spare DDR2L RAM so cant
