ServeRAID M1115 SAS/SATA SSD Compatible

I want to ask about the ServeRAID M1115 SAS/SATA Controller Product Guide if support using Samsung 850 Pro ssd ?

 

Because l want to upgrade my office server from System X HDD to 850 Pro ssd and want to Run Raid 1 To Mirroring the data

yes that RAID card (and all SAS RAID cards and HBAs) will work with the 850 Pro.

As long as it supports at least SAS 3G, which it does, it'll work no problem. It's a 6G card even, so you'll be able to max the SSD without a hitch.

 

Fun fact, SAS will always support SATA, just not the other way around.

Hardware RAID is done from the ROM/BIOS on the RAID card, you have to access that during bootup (so before Windows starts to load). If you didn't install any RAID drivers in Windows, it won't see RAID volumes afterwards.
