Not in anyway that is noticeable really, say between 3/8"ID us 1/2"ID, if yo start going really small like 1/4"ID that can have a few degrees of difference but that size is also not common in custom watercooling.

 

Thick walled tubing would be a good choice however since it can have tighter radius bends without kinking.
