Hey everyone,

I am trying build my very first PC and would love some help/advice. Here is the parts I plan on getting...

CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: NZXT - Kraken X62 Rev 2 98.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Asus - MAXIMUS IX HERO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Memory

Storage: Samsung - 960 EVO 500GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive AND Western Digital - BLACK SERIES 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB AORUS Xtreme Edition 11G Video Card

Case: Silverstone - Primera RGB (Matte Black) ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Monitor: Acer - XB271HU bmiprz 27.0" 2560x1440 165Hz Monitor

I plan on gaming on 1440p and may in the near future connect an xbox one x to the monitor. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.

(ex: incompatible parts, better gtx 1080ti model, better parts to use, etc)

Thank you! :)

If you can get a 8700K and a Z370 motherboard then that's better but I don't know if the supply has gone back.  The rest of the system looks great.  However, if you badly need the system now then your only option is 7700K then go for it.

If I do wait for the 8700k, which motherboard should I get?

Asus has a Z370 motherboard if that's your brand
