Need help with tracert results

Hello recently my internet hit me with those 1% packet loss when playing games. I tried to google it a bit and found various posts saying using the tracert command in cmd. Any website i use tracert command to shows request timed out after 5th hop (idk what this means) Any help would be appreciated!

i will attach a screenshot of 3 tracert results. I trace routed google.com , youtube.com , linustechtips.com

all show request timed out after 5th hop

Any help or more troubleshooting options would be helpfull :)

Thank you

Using tracert/traceroute to diagnose latency issues, has limited usefulness.

1. The biggest reason for this is ICMP is usually the lowest priority and may not reflect real traffic traversing that hop.

2. In order for the router to respond to the ICMP request, those packets have to be handed off to the Router CPU. This also is not indicative of traffic traversing the router in hardware vs. CPU.

3. The Path traceroute takes may not be the same as live traffic due in part to both 1 and 2.

All of that being said it still is a good starting point. I advise people in most cases if latency to the final destination is good your fine.
