Looking for new headphones. suggestions?

Bullet4Justice

Hey everyone. I currently own the Sennheiser PC 363d which has been through a lot since 2013 roughly, my brother bought it and moved on then gave it to me. and I'm looking for new headphones now as mine is starting to have sound quality issues as the adapter is starting to disconnect sometimes and suddenly the max volume has been reduced massively, anyway. my budget is around $100. I use headphones for Gaming and Music mainly. and I've discovered that 'Gaming headsets/headphones' and 'Surround' and all this fancy shit doesn't really add anything and all is a marketing fluke. waiting for suggestions. side note: I want nothing that is razer or Logitech. Thanks for reading.

IMO PC363D is fine for what it is. A M40x will at most be a small upgrade. I'd recommend saving a little more for a HD600 for considerable improvements.

I would never buy a headset for $400 in the near future, I'm only a uni student I can't afford such luxury, I know the m40x's would be a small improvement, I'm not potentially getting it because of upgrading, if I buy anything it would be because my PC 363D's are full of issues rn but it still works, that's why I haven't pulled the trigger yet on new headphones. I'm probably gonna wait for a discount on the m40x's, Black Friday and Christmas are near I'm sure one of them would discount it and maybe then I would go for it. thanks for the suggestion.
