X299 motherboard dual 8-pin

There are two 8pin sockets on Asus Rampage VI Apex.

1.) Are both of them for CPU?
2.) Do PSUs provide dual 8pin? If my PSU (Seasonic Focus Plus 650W) does not support it, what can I do?

Both are for cpu, but they aren’t a necessity.  They are meant for the 10 core and higher or ln2 ocing.

Look at new power supplies most have 2 esp plugs which is that plug your talking about.It depends on the cpu and board if you really need both,Some its for the highest end cpu needs the power and some boards its more for if you want to over clock or not.

Hes right if you want a good or high end video card you need a higher power psu.
