Hi everyone!

As the title says my windows 10 install has gone missing after I decided to put the harddrive from one PC to another.

Was aware of the fact that the hard drive wont be detected right away so I installed another windows install on another partition (making sure the first windows is ok) but the onlu effect I have is the ability to boot to the version of windows I had installed on the new PC.

Is there any way I can get this install to be detected or is it a lost cause?

Any help is welcome and thanks in advance! :)

P.S Have access to everything the HDD is working fine the PC is fine just not able to boot that other windows 10

You should not have two windows installs.

You need to wipe the entire drive and clean install windows properly.

I know I only installed the second Windows 10 in hope that It will detect the first (main install) and then getting rid of it as soon as it fixes my booting process

Uh, no, that's not how it works.

You cannot "fix" another installation of windows by installing a second one.

You need to wipe the drive and clean install windows.

If you need any files from the previous installation you need to back them up somewhere else.

You can use the installation media's repair tool (Not installer) to repair things such as your boot manager/possibly slight corruption. Since you already reinstalled windows, I would try to pull your data off the partition with the corrupted windows on to your new windows install. Then delete the corrupted windows partition.

Windows is not corrupted, he's just trying to boot from a windows OS which was installed on a different PC, which you should never do.
