When I try to import .MOV format into Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 it says ''Codec missing or unavailable''. When I change the format to .AVI, MP4 or M4V and import it, it imports sound only.
Can someone help me solve this issue?

How exactly did you 'change the format'?  Did you re-export what ever file you are importing?  Or did you just change the file extension?

Here's the most critical thing to understand, .MOV QuickTime File Format is not a video compression format, it's a video CONTAINER format, in that it can contain a RANGE of video and audio compression schemes within it. Think of it as a kind of 'box' that can hold multiple media types.  So it's possible that the video or audio formats inside the container may not be supported by your software without additional CODECs being installed.

It seems to me that because Premiere relies on the QuickTime Format for certain things along with other codecs, like AshleyAshes said above about the container formats. It could be that that you need to install additional codecs for it to work. I run the Adobe CC Suite 2018 and I have never had this issue before other than in 2015 when it relied on Codecs.

I've just changed the file extention. Also downloaded Quicktime and some third-party converter programs, but the final results were unsuccessful.

What CODECs should i install can you guide me?

Yeah, a file extension is literally just a text indicator for the OS to tell which software to use.  Simply changing the file extension no more changes the format than painting the word 'Airplane' onto the side of a boat would transform it into a flying machine.

You need to figure out what video format is actually IN this MOV file.

And what would be best way to figure it out?
