H100i v2 flashing red 90 degree temp

So my cooler is fairly new.. 6 months top.. all of a students while I was playing I got a huge fps drop before the system completely shutdown itself, I wasn't able to boot it so I let it cool few minutes manage to enter bios to notice 90 degree temps.. any advice?
