PSU broke need help!

Go to solution Solved by Windows7ge,

So long at it's using what I assume is the ATX form factor and has the appropriate number of connector with enough Amps on the 12V rail for the GPU then you're free to use anything you so choose.

However if there's one thing you don't want to cheap out on it's the PSU. I'd recommend buying another Corsair 750W (does not have to be the CX series) because it's a reputable brand and 750W will allow room for more drives and more powerful GPUs. Also it can be used in later builds if you choose to run SLI or upgrade the motherboard/CPU or what to try overclocking.

I bought this gaming rig 3 years ago and then my rig wont power up all the way through. Called a local technician and after checking the rig he said that the porblem was the psu.

I was using corsair Cx750

I'm wondering if I have to buy the same PSU or can I buy something cheaper (reffered by my friend) such as the Deepcool DE - 500

System:

System model: Msi-7918

Processor: I7-4790

Memory: 12gig

Display:

Geforce GTX 970

*I'm no good at these specs stuff (I'm sorry all I do is play :c )
