Hi. 

 

So i just got a new 8700K on a Aorus Gaming 7 with a H100i V2. 

Was playing Assasins Creed Origins on high settings and the CPU temp was running 67-70C. I have never had a CPU run this hot so wondering if I should be worried. It is also idling at anywhere between 37-40c

CPU - i7 8700K / Motherboard - ROG Strix Z370 E/ RAM - 32GB Cosair Vengeance DDR / GPU  - GTX 1080ti - EVGA FTW3 / PSU - Seasonic Snow Silent 750W / Cooling - Cryorig H7 Monitor - Acer X34 Predator / Sound - Corsair Void - Case - Meshify C

Anything below 85C is safe.

That idle sounds high.  Are you running manual voltage or offset?
