Is it possible to buy captive thumbscrews that would fit most side panels? I am spoiled from owning a Fractal design case with captive thumbscrews for its side panels, but my new case doesn't come with captive ones. It is minorly annoying having to make sure I don't drop the screws when I undo the panels. Case I'm looking to install these screws in is a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M.

A normal captive screw is just a whole smaller then the threads and the normal thumb screw just screws into the hole. If the whole is already bigger then the threads its much harder CaseLabs presses in a spring loaded captive screw for stuff like a motherboard tray on a SM8 and other examples I've seen are a star washer sized to thread on to hold the screw or a small plastic tab like you see on electrical outlets.

As Rod suggested you can get E clips as long as there is enough shank on the thumb screw it should be able to captively hold it.

They do make PEM style thumb screws which are permanently fastened into the panel itself but those require special machines to install.
