Hi. First time posting on this forum. I've followed the channel for a while so I figure this is the best place to get some opinions on a new build. I have the build in pc parts picker. I'm just looking for opinions on anything that needs improved or changed, recommendations, etc... Thanks for all the help.

I'd go for a Dark Rock Pro 3 other the Noctua cooler.

Also a Seagate Barracuda Pro over that WD Black, quite a bit cheaper for the 6tb https://pcpartpicker.com/product/gBRFf7/seagate-barracuda-pro-6tb-35-7200rpm-internal-hard-drive-st6000dm004

As mentioned above, the 960's aren't needed. You could get 2 x 1tb 850 evo's for a little bit less.

Alright. Thanks. With the changes would the psu still be sufficient do you think?

What will you do with the PC? For $3,5k, you can usually get SLI 1080 Tis, or an HEDT platform.

It's going to be for programming and gaming. The extra power for any programming and debugging needs and the gpu is for gaming. That's the plan at least

well i dont think youd need the wd black. go for 2 of these https://pcpartpicker.com/product/rhQypg/seagate-internal-hard-drive-stbd3000100 that makes it not even 180 instead of 400 bucks

then id go for a normal ssd to replace that 1tb evo https://pcpartpicker.com/product/RbvZxr/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz75e1t0bam

i think you are going a little overkill on the storage in general. you could use that budget on other things like a macro board if youre really gonna get into programming ;)

and lastly im not a big fan of the case but thats just a question of taste and very subjectiv. but i would consider some good noctua fans for the case but again thats very subjective

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"
