I did RMA with 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance LP without packaging before and they returned me with packaging. As long as they are in a set, you shouldn't be having problem. Oh it does help to shorten the verification process if you could provide proof of purchase as well.

I bought it many years ago and did not keep the receipt.

They absolutely should accept it.  Call again.

Thanks, I'll give g.skill a call.

Update: Great news! Gskill stood by their warranty and promptly shipped me new RAMs.

Did you buy a pre build pc or did you build it yourself ?

I built the computer myself.

Then I'm sorry, you need that to have warranty. Memory kits are guarantee to work properly with each other, and are usually manufacture in the same packaging.

That's alright, thanks for the information.

Hi,

I contacted g.skill in regards to the lifetime warranty. But they said that the memory must be in the original memory kit.

What does memory kit mean? I only have the memory sticks.

Thanks.

If your memory sticks come in 2x4GB or 4x4GB, then you would need to warranty all sticks as a pair or quad respectively even though only 1 stick is faulty and the sticks must the exact same set from purchase.

I have 2x4GB, but I do not have the original packaging. Do you think g.skill will accept it?
