I have a AMD 380x nitro and it will randomly spin fans up to 100% about 10sec to 1min before the system just Turns off. (Black screen Desktop off)

It is completely unstable when given more power or playing with the overclock setting any ideas?

the temp will read 0*C sometimes and on boot sometime the fans start @ 100% and will have to be menualy tuned down in settings.

Specs

CPU: AMD FX 8320 (Corsair h100i cooler)

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Bios 1603 version

GPU: 380X nitro

PSU: Courger 1000W gold

Tryed

Cleaning PCI slot and card pins

Reinstall of AMD drivers (clean Install)

Reinstall of windows to make sure.

I had this issue with my 5870, and from what you're describing, it's a dying card. Again, maybe I'm misinterpreting your problem, maybe a video would help.

Take off any overclock and restore it to factory defaults.

Since you've voided your warranty, if this doesn't help open it up, clean it, replace thermal pads and thermal paste. Test the card again at stock speeds.

Try the card on a different PC. I've seen such problems with either the graphics card (VRM) being faulty or a faulty PSU causing power surges to the GPU.

Have you tried running FurMark or Unigine Heaven and monitoring the temperatures?

I have a Nitro 380X too.
