Not sure where to post this however if this is wrong could a mod please move it ❤️

Hi guys, so recently my computer as been randomly shutting off. This leaves me with no blue screen giving me no minidump files to look into.

I have changed my CPU cooler as my CPU temps are always high, tested my set of ram, reset my overclock on my CPU and made sure all the connectors where plugged in correctly.
I completely took my machine apart cleaning every little thing of dust and build up even going as far as resetting my motherboard however I can still not figure out the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated, I have tried almost all online guidance with no help aswell as a factory reset.

PC parts:
CPU: AMD 8320
GPU: GeForce GTX 980 gigabyte g1
Power supply: 750W Corsair bronze+
Cooler: hyper 212x
Ram: hyper X beast 8gb
Mobile: gigabyte am3+

Have you done a fresh install of Windows? That would be better than a reset.

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Can't say I really know how haha, but I don't believe that would be the problem, I did a complete reset of the drive so

But if that's not what you mean could you instruct me on how to install a fresh windows haha

Check what if anything software is causing the shutdown with this: TurnedOnTimesView

It's not too hard, and is good to do periodically. I can walk you through it.

If the above stuff doesn't work, and you know someone (or have one yourself) with a spare PSU that you can borrow for a little while, it might be worth booting it using that to check if the PSU is beginning to die or not.

Yeah I have thought about this and will need to find someone, cheers for the advice

PC turning off? during heavy load? or idle? PSU would be my 1st suspect, i think all juice has been drain out. How long does your OC has been running? and how was those temps? specially mobo VRMs those are the 1st one to die.

It crashes at idle so I don't believe it is Todo with the CPU and or gpu, couldn't tell you that J know what an OC and vrms are tho

so, might be the PSU is the culprit. if you have or can borrow a spare try it. You can also visually check your mobo for bloated capacitors or burnt smell.

I think it may be the PSU than because I just checked and I could not find a bloated capacitor or burnt smell, I'll have to find a PSU I can borrow of someone. Thanks for the help and I'll keep you updated

that's very high, try to replace thermal paste and reseat your cpu cooler. it might lower that temp
