Try using a passive dvi to vga adapter. DVI can natively carry an analog VGA signal, so you should get a better result.

The EVGA ones only show a DVI-D which will not have VGA. And it seems that i made a google error the Display in case only has a VGA.

al2216w has only VGA, i looked up the al2216wsd :S

Because that the max resolution for VGA 1680 X 1050 depending on your cable quality.

It can go higher, tho that will depend on the RAMDAC. Not the cable, how it will look will come down to the cable tho :D

Any reason you are using the VGA connector instead of the HDMI/DVI?

VGA should go up to 2048x1536 but it might be that the adapter is messing up the detect.

Which brand of 1050ti?

because the moitor is vga but the evga gtx 1050 ti does not have vga

It should also have a DVI-D. Better to use a DVI-D cable.

Since it has no real VGA connector i think the resolution is limited to 1440

Googling is model shows that he really doesn't have anything else than a VGA port on the monitor.

Edit: Too slow
