Hi guys

I have an Intel Core I7-5930K in a Gigabyte X99 G1 Gaming WIFI mobo running bios f20.

I have my cpu overclocked to 4.5ghz at 1.3v on vcore, its stable and runs good.

I was just wondering if anyone else has that cpu or from the same generation overclocked, if so what voltage and overclock have you managed to get.

Im thinking of trying to push mine little bit more and got me thinking about what other people have.

Thanks

try 4.7 at 1.4v, it may work

I have a 5960x which I run at 4.4Ghz @ 1.225v.  To answer your question I've been able to OC to 4.6 with 1.350v. Anything beyond that wasn't stable. In my case the 200Mhz wasn't worth the extra heat/volts that was needed for it. I know most people like to push their system to the limits, but what's the point. There's very little difference between 100Mhz-200Mhz in terms of performance for the CPU. Unless your losing money in a business over that 200Mhz I don't think it's worth it to push the CPU so hard because you will wear it out much faster for a performance gain that's marginal in most use cases. Anyway, best of luck to you with the OC.
