Hello!

Today I seek help about a problem I am having with my Realtek drivers. Whenever I plug an Ethernet cord into my computer no light turns on and it doesn't get detected and looks like this https://imgur.com/a/YxIJs I am hoping somebody can assist me. I really hope my mobo isn't a defective one as I recently got it as an upgrade (original system had ddr3 memory, intel pentium, foxconn mobo).

Specs:

- AMD Ryzen 7 1700 CPU

- ASRock AB350M Pro4 (Bios Version P3.10 newest)

- Kingston SSDNow UV400 480GB and Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200RPM HDrive

- Gigabyte GTX 960 OC WindForce

- ThermalTake TR2 600W ATX PSU

- Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 Ram

- Windows 10 64 bit

I have tried:

- uninstalling and reinstalling drivers

- restarting computer

- downgrading version of drivers

- updating drivers

- updating bios from 3.0 to 3.10

- different ethernet cords and outlits

Spoiler

turn on wake from lan (BIOS)

take out ethernet

turn off pc

plug in ethernet

if it doesn't wake, it broke.

i really have no idea if this will work or not, as i've never used wake from lan, and found that to be a useless 'feature' but..

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Hmm weird, I have the exact same motherboard and have had absoloutely no problems with my ethernet at all.

Have you previously had it working at all?

Go into bios and there's an option in there to update ethernet driver...  also have a look in your network settings to see if something doesn't look right.

Whats the option called?

Previously I was using and still am a wifi USB stick and I haven't really had the chance to use it until now.

Have a look through the bios options, it's on the 3rd tab IIRC, I'm not rebooting my system to see what it's called for you, it's clearly labelled.

The other thing it could be is your network settings, go into [all settings] - [network and internet] - [ethernet]

click on [network]  under the ethernet/ethernet heading... yours will most likely say not connected and will look like the ethernet network icon same as in the taskbar.

Under [make this pc discoverable] there is a toggle switch, change that to [ON]

Also, you need to make sure that the network cable you are using and port you are using on the router are working... if you have another ethernet device plug that in and see if you get a connection.

If you don't have another ethernet device, you'll have to try different router ports instead, to see if you accidentally plugged it into the wan port or something.

Hmm I cant seem to find the bios option...

But I will try the other idea!
