Pre-Owned PC Deal Advice

Go to solution Solved by ARikozuM,

Good price. Sell the 970 for $180 and get a 1070 along with an 850 EVO 500GB.

Edit: Try talking the seller down to $400 and go up to $450. You can test the PC at the seller's house; bring a USB with Windows Live.

Hey guys,

Recently my friend has asked me to help him get into pc gaming. I was planning on building it for him with current gen parts, but upon looking at craigslist posts I found what looks to be a solid deal.

Intel i5 4690K 3.5GHz
G.Skill TridentX Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2400
Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z97 Motherboard
Gigabyte GV-N970G1 Nvidia GeForce GTX970 4GB Video Card
Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow Edition Full ATX Tower
Corsair AX760 Watt Power Supply
Corsair H100i GTX CPU Cooler
Corsair Fans with red lights.
No Hard Drives, SSD or Operating System.

All for the price of $480 USD. I haven't been on the market for pc parts in while so I'm a little behind on current prices. I have also never bought a pc used. My friend's budget is about $700~ USD but the lower the price, the better. He also needs stuff like a monitor and hard drives for example. In your opinion is this a good deal? And if it is, how do you guys go about buying a used computer. Is there any safe public locations where I could test the pc to see if it works properly? Or do people usually just test the computer at the seller's house?

Any feedback is appreciated,
Thanks in advance.
