Hi Guys,

I currently have an AMD A10-6790K processor on a MSI A55M-E33. I am planning to buy a dedicated GPU for this PC. Any suggestions on what would be the best GPU for this? A GPU that would give me a 90 above FPS on max settings on DOTA 2. And also i would also want how much RAM would I need to achieve what i want.

Thanks in advance! :)

GTX 1080ti and 16GB of used DDR3 ram

seriously though, buy whatever the best you can get for your money. don't worry about bottlenecks now, think of the free performance gains from when you move from that A10 to a newer CPU

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

You won't get it when you have a A10, what's your budget for this upgrade?

get a gtx 1060 6gb or a cheap 1070

then what GPU can you suggest?

CPU: Ryzen 1700@3.9ghz; GPU: EVGA 560 Ti 1gb; RAM: 16gb 2x8 Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000; PCPP: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/b3xzzM

If you can spend ~50$ more, then get a vega 56 for insanely better performance per dollar

edit: (they are 400$ right now, perform much better than a 1070)

So what's happening? Your current PC has the A10 but you have an i5 lying around? Or does your PC run an i5 and the A10 is a secondary PC?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I am using the AMD simply because it gives me higher FPS compared to the INTEL i5 (without GPUs). my i5 is on my other pc. xD

Then shove a GPU in that machine for sure

Are you gaming at 1080p 60hz?

Shove a Vega 56, 1070 or 1070 Ti into there and you are set.

Then an RX 580 8GB and a 1080p 144hz free-sync display, pretty easy choice for gaming

just wish the 580 8gbs were back to normal prices, but they aren't too bad now

A g-sync display of the same type will run you about +$150 usually

0 point in buying a high end GPU with that display, you could get away with one of the $100 RX 560s or 1050s

Eh, unless it's like $50 let the 750ti die in peace, especially when it comes to the RX 560 overclocked and it's future with DX12/Vulkan.
