Since I am to lazy to put something interesting here, I will put everything, but slightly abbreviated. Here is everything:

I use two different brands in my PC, never had any stability issues.

really depends, if they are the same design underneath and run the same timings then it could be fine. if they are NOT the same design, say one is single side and one is dual side then its unsure. RAM can be extremely fiddely and is a general pain to mix and match, i would ALWAYS try to get matching sticks but if imposible i would at least make sure they are the same underneath the heatspreader, run the same speeds and have at least close to the same timings

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

For the past ~20 years, I've mixed and matched RAM, and as long as they are within 1 speed step of each other, I've *never* run across issues. 

Don't lose any sleep over it.

Strange setup but looks like your trying to work with what you got? But since both sticks are the same 2400Mhz latency should be fine, just check it out ese on your Uefi/Bios my brotherane
