hi, i got an quite stupid issue here, i need to format a device but i ran out of usb sticks ( had to fill them with backups ) , aswell i cant connect any dvd drive to the system because i dropped the darn thing and it broke

now my question is, i need to format the thing due to a malware infection,   does Windows 10 Reset This PC , do a full partition format aswell? to ensure malware is gone... ( this is the only option i got right now that goes anywhere near format, i really ran out of friggen usb sticks :c , got dvds but the tablet thing cant take dvds because i broke the firggen external thing ;c )

^bad luck day is bad q.q

I have my doubts. Never tried the Reset this PC feature and never trusted it. There's only one way to find out though. :P

Reset feature only re-installs Windows, and redoes the boot partition.

It can keep your personal files (Found in your personal folders: Documents, Pictures, Videos, etc). or not, up to you.

u think the partition reboot is enough?

i might just find away to a usb stick to do a full format instead after

No it does not clean all the partitions and remake them.

You need to do a clean install if you want to delete all the partitions, because then the installer is on a USB drive and not on your disk.

dude i know how to format, try doing that without an usb stick or cd drive... that is the issue ( i dont have usb sticks spare and a broken external drive )

i need to format somehow without a usb stick + dvd drive xD, oh and i also cant access the drive, its soldered on the board lol

formatting isnt hard at all if u have a usb stick or a cd xD but without it... try it P;

sounds like you don't have access to another computer right now. but creating a boot stick or dvd on an already infected computer is not recommended either because there is a chance that the infection will carry over to the fresh boot stick you just created.

make room on a usb stick. take the smallest capacity stick that works as a boot stick and move its current content to a cloud drive ... you know ... google drive, onedrive, whatever
