960 4gb SLI vs 1060

Hi guys! Anybody here who has any tests or any results when comparing a 960 4gb SLI vs a 1060? thanks guys!

A single 1060 6GB is faster on average.

1060 6gb, sli will draw more power, and some games dont even support it or do worse when its enabled.

yep but saw some reviews on the 9600 4gb sli and they are performing well
 

BTW: was only planning on the 960 4gb for an sli experience for the budget so yup hahaha

I'm not aware of any benchmarks. Most reviewers won't review two mid range GPUs and include the results comparing a much newer mid range GPU. But we can extrapolate based on what we know - one GTX 960 is roughly half the performance of a GTX 1060.

Even if you had perfect 100% scaling, SLI GTX 960 would be on par with a GTX 1060. However, best case scenario is you'll get scaling of around 80-90%, so a single GTX 1060 would be faster.

Got it man thanks! my purpose actually now is to do a budget build and i was also curious on sli so i checked the reviews on the 960 4gb sli and the results were great and was only wondering if it would be on par with a 1060 since i cant  test it cause i dont have a 1060 hahaha but yup im gonna still go with the sli 960 setup

One review I saw put the 1060 at 100% better than the 960, and everyone knows SLI  doesn't scale well. I do t see how 960 So I could be anywhere as good as 1060.
