LG V20 Vs Galaxy S8

Johntheawesomeguy

I am trying to decide between these two very different phones, I am leaning towards the V20 but it's now an older phone and does not have the best software experience. I considered rooting it and adding a custom ROM but the S8 is still widely regarded as one of if not the best android smartphones right now. Which would you guys get and why?

S8 :D. The V20 is an older phone and now that the V30 is out, I feel as if you're better off going with the newer one than the older one. The S8 has a nice design and high-end specs, a good all-rounder. If you still want the V20 then go ahead if you want, prices are low since it's been out for some time.

what about the LG V30?

I was looking at the v20 because I wanted the user removable battery

But, the S8 doesn't have a user-removable battery... so why aren't you considering the V30?

I didn't think of it that way, I will have to look into the v30 then.

@Johntheawesomeguy S8 is cooler. Why do you need a user-removable battery? You want to buy second batterie and switch them?

Yes, I tend to drain my battery fast and being able to swap the battery would be much nicer than having to carry a charger

I saw cases with extended batteries, but they were for iPhone, I think you should look for similar for your phone. It would be the best solution for you

not really into battery cases, too bulky. I usually don't wear a case on my phone.

  • 2 weeks later...

I suggest you get LG G6 or LG V30.

If prefer Samsung, I suggest you go for Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The reason I suggest Note 8 is Samsung phone still kind of heavy, I am ex owner of S8+ and it is not perfect smooth and Note 8 with 6 GB is running far better than S8+
