I'd recommend getting drivers for the mobo from the manufacturers site, microsoft has always done a crap job of handling drivers

Your motherboard should come with a driver disc but the website will have newer drivers.

Like Cyracus said check the motherboard manufacturer website (if asus motherboard go to asus, if msi go to msi, gigabyte go to gigabyte, etc.) there will be a bunch to download. Chipset, audio, USB etc. make sure you match your specific motherboard model and Windows version. You will also need to get the driver for your graphics card which will either be on the NVIDIA site or AMD site.

Thanks Mr.pwnograffik. Other than the MOBO Drivers and the GPU drivers, what are the other drivers that might be needed to be downloaded for my PC to function.

Technically, you don't need to download any drivers yourself for your system to function. Windows will automatically query your system and download the needed drivers. However, it's recommended to do this yourself if possible so that you have not only the latest drivers but the drivers will be for your specific system configuration.

It depends on your system but here are the drivers that you'll need.

Audio driver

LAN driver

WiFi driver*** (if your system supports it)

USB driver

Chipset driver

SATA driver

Bluetooth driver*** (if your system supports it)

You'll also want to download the latest BIOS firmware for your motherboard as well as the driver for your graphics card (graphics driver will be on a different website depending on your card, either AMD or NVIDIA).

For example, my system needed all of the above drivers & firmware. i7-4930k CPU with an ASUS Rampage IV BE motherboard.

I'm attaching a screenshot of what the driver page for my system looks like to give you an idea.

You would select your motherboard, your Windows version and then download each driver and install one by one. I usually update the motherboard BIOS first followed by the chipset driver and then go from there.

Hope that helps.

:D
