I keep having problems with my phone staying connected with the cable to my laptop. It disconnects and reconnects at its will, my phone does. Could this be a damaged port? I was transferring a small amount of music and only about 20% of my songs transferred over(about 900 songs made it) then I got a message that a song couldnt be transferred, it did this for about 150 songs then quit and the window closed. Before this I tried transferring all phone files to my computer(only about 70 gigs of data) and it said like 350k hours to copy. This phone has already been wiped, factory reset and everything got completely reformatted and scanned after some issues with ********* so the phone should be good. When I cleared the phone I reset everything else, computers drives. The phone does not have any problems now, but this connection issue is rather troublesome. I only got 5 gigs off it before it ejected itself... any help?

My old s3 did this due to a damaged port. Can't really fix it. Have you tried another cable/computer?

I've tried 4 computers and 10 cables, no difference. I prefer wired connections for data transfers of this scale.

Sounds like the port on the phone.

I suggested the wireless method as an alternative if wired didn't work.

Plus a mirrored music folder can be useful if you want to add music you just drag it to the folder on the PC, then when the phone has power and wifi it'll check the folder and download any new songs and delete ones removed.
