I need a new PC for moderate gaming, rendering images and college work. I planned to build one because it has a lot more value for money rather than buying a pre-built. I already have a monitor and peripherals. Im on a tight budget of $550 US, the components that I chose are below. Please help me because this is my first build and I am not sure if I will run into any compatability issues. I know that these parts are present in similar builds but i would like your oppinions. Also any feedback and upgrades to the parts selected are appreciated.

Personally, I've never had much luck with the CX series from corsair with 2 of mine blowing up, granted these were the older models and not the 2015 model but still. Im probably just unlucky but if you can get something a little more expensive I would recommend it

Main PC | AMD R7 3700X | Noctua D14 | MSI RTX 2080 Super XS OC | Corsair Vengence LPX 32GB DDR4 3200MHz | MSI B550A Pro | 1TB PNY XLR8 NVMe SSD | Kingston A400 960GB SSD | 2TB Western Digital Green HDD | Fractal Design Define R6TG |

Laptop (Asus TUF FX505DY) | AMD R5 3550H | RX560X | Crucial DDR4 16GB 2400MHz | Western Digital SN550 256GB SSD | PNY CS900 960GB SSD |

Phone | Samsung S10 Lite (128GB + 128GB SD card) |

Other Cool Stuff | Steam Link | Sontronics Podcast Pro | NZXT Hue+ | Corsair K70 MK 2 (MX Brown) | Logitech G402 | HiSense A7300 43 Inch 4K TV | Logitech C920 | Ender 3 Pro with Bulleye Fan duct and BLTouch |Sony PS4 | Nintendo Switch

kind of looks like a build i have. The G4560 is a beast and beats the ryzen 1200 (seen some benchmarks from a australian youtuber). Just bought the H110 motherboard from MSI, cheaper and good enough, amazing review for tom. Has the same exact ram. GPU is a 470. Overall amazing gaming rig for 1080p

But you got to buy a SSD, trust me.

Not sure how much you plan to save, but you don't have an OS or "office" type product included here which itself can cost whatever it is your saving. In that case I think you would be better of getting a pre-built system since it will already include that software for you.

You can get windows for cheap on ebay, and there are alternatives to softwares like office

I will most probably run linux on it and their are many free and open source softwares that do the same tasks as MS Office.

Thank you for the reply. Did the H110 come with the BIOS update because the G4560 is a 7th gen chip? And can you please give the model of your motherboard?

i ask the store to make the bios update (if they said no i would not buy it there) they were nice and did it for no charge extra. MSI H110M pro d.

It's a beast, look at toms review
