I have one sound card an 2 gaming systems. How long much sound card swapping would it take to wear out the pcie bus on the card itself?

I7-6700k, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, 2 x 8GB Corsair Dominator Plantinum ram, ASUS GTX 960 STRIX, sound blaster zx, 1TB boot drive ssd, 128GB/256GB storage ssd, 1TB storage HDD, 4TB of storage (backup),Windows 10 Pro,1000w psu

It's not really made for frequent swapping, but I'm sure it'll hold up a few years if you only did it every so often.  It's about as sturdy as SATA plugs, if that helps.

 

A USB AMP/DAC would be a much better idea for this situation.

Think of them as Large high quality USB sockets.

 

I would say the cards gold points would wear out before the PCI socket did.

 

Lets say I swap the card 2 times every 2 weekends. How long do you think it would last before quality degrades?

What a hassle!  I think you'll lose your will to live before the sound card breaks.  It's a digital connection, so it either works or it doesn't.  There's no "degrades".

I would be more worried about the possible damage to the motherboard from constantly giving it a bend every time you insert/remove the card.  Those things are pretty precise and sometimes you can break a trace from too much flex.
