Upgrade Recommendation

DasSnoopy48

Hey everyone!

I'm looking into upgrading my computer and after watching hours of youtube videos, I still don't know what to do. So mainly I would like to upgrade my GPU as I have an older GTX 960 FTW and was looking into a 1070 maybe even a 1080. However, I ran into some videos talking about bottlenecking and I'm worried that my CPU might be outdated. So, basically what I'm looking for is advice on if I should go for the 1080(because it's performance will last longer) or go with a cheaper 1070(because my CPU will bottleneck the higher end graphics card) and invest in a CPU as well. Please find listed below my hardware and let me know what I should actually replace.

CPU- AMD FX 8350 4000 MHz

RAM- Dominator Platinum 16 GB

GPU- EVGA GTX 960 FTW

Motherboard- Not sure where to find this info its an ASUS

If you guys need more information please let me know where to find it and ill happily provide it.

Thanks in advance for some help!

There is no point of upgrading if you're not upgrading the CPU as well.

I'd try to sell those as a bundle first and THEN buy something with the money. new i5 would do you nicely or R5 1600. That with 1070 or 1080 will crush.
