Would you rather have the i7 7700k but paired with a gtx 1060 6gb or would you rather have an i5 6600k paired with a gtx 1070

I would rather have the i7 7700 on a cheaper motherboard and the GTX 1070

That’s the trick you can’t change anything but the processor or the gpu

Why? both makes no sense an i7 7700k is far too much CPU horse power for just a GTX 1060 while the i5 6600k will bottleneck the GTX 1070 especially on CPU intensive titles, both combos are bad.

If I have to choose between only these two choices, the i5 and 1070.

 

But really I'd rather have neither and get a newer CPU with more than 4 cores.

 

And why do you compared a 7000 series to a 6000 series CPU? Why not the i5 7600k ?

The motherboard is the msi z270 gaming m3 are you going to change it? And what parts are you gonna change

You should make a pcpartpicker list of what you have in mind so it is easier to advise changes.
