Pokémon on iOS

AVLNCH

Hi all,

As I’m sure many have wondered this question over the years - Does anyone know if there is any possible way to play a pokémon game on an iOS device?

If not, I’m curious if anyone would know of any games that are similar or have similar styles of play or mechanics.

Thanks all

I've seen a couple emulators around, if by pokemon games you mean the gameboy ones. I believe the better known one is called GBA4ios. It may require a jailbreak, but I can't be sure as I'm not an ios user.

HEADS UP, THIS ACCOUNT IS INACTIVE NOW

I'm keeping everything else the way it was for anyone who might check out my answers in future, but I won't be using LTT.

Pokemon Go is the only Pokemon game you'll be able to play without jail breaking your phone and throwing an emulator with some of the games on there.

I’m familiar with pokémon go, however I was looking more for the game boy games rather than this.

I’d like to try and avoid jail breaking if possible just because it’s something I’d prefer not to do. Unfortunately it seems like it was never meant to be. I’ll have to stick to playing them on my 3DS.

When I looked up GBA4ios, I did see a youtube video claiming it had a method of doing it without jailbreaking. Here it is:

However I cannot verify if it works or not.

Interesting. The concept seems pretty straight forward however I see it requires changing device time settings though which sadly could completely mess up my calendar and events etc. Along with several other apps I use which are time-sensitive.

Do you know of any web emulators? I’ll have a look myself too.
