I have been running into a problem recently. My mouse, a Zeltotes T-90, has been having some issues with accuracy.  I mainly notice it in shooter games like SWBF or Fortnite Battle Royale, but also browsing the web and such. It feels like the mouse courser is snapping to an invisible grid, or sometimes it feels very jumpy and sluggish. This isn't a problem when moving the mouse fast, but when I am doing any action that involves moving the mouse slowly, it really shows. In FBR, I have gotten as close as 4th, but when aiming with a sniper rifle for a kill, the mouse was horribly inaccurate with the slow movement, causing my demise.

Fast forward a few hours, when I was over at a buddies house setting up his brand new gaming laptop, I installed FBR so we could play together. I played a few rounds (on his laptop setup), and noticed how accurate I was being. I would land all my shots, especially sniper shots, and I got my first solo win on my third try with a beautiful long range kill. Moving his mouse seemed much smoother, and it would register all the fine movements without jumpiness.

Is my mouse bad? I had a mouse pad, but don't use it anymore because it made my mouse worse than it already was. I am willing to upgrade as long as the mouse isn't very expensive, and has very good accuracy with small movements.

Any ideas on what to do?

Edit: His laptop has similar specs to my desktop, so performance isn't an issue. Both run games at 1080p 60fps.
