Hello, I am thinking about replacing my current rig, and building a new one for about $1000. The main use will be gaming (bf4, CS:GO) but I will also be doing streaming to twitch.tv and a but of editing. The only two things that iv been really wanting to use are the i5 4670k and the corsair 230 graphite. Also I would like at least a semi modular PSU. Thanks!

do you have any components you would like to use from your old setup? could you list the specs?

                                                                                      wow... pretty empty here...

In some cases it will outperform the 4670k and in some it won't. it just has more threads/cores but they are weaker. New games will most propably be optimized for 8 core cpus so you could gain performance.

your Options: i7 4770 or 8320 or just a 4670k wich is enough for 2-3 gpus and if you don't do really really much editing and streaming it will be enough.

yes

Yea because of the extra cores

the only thing that I would change it would be that psu with this one

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-120pg0750gr

i know that seasonic makes (one of) the best psu's but meh... too much for a psu imo :)

That PSU is kinda crap

why?

it's 750w so he can add another video card later

it's 80+ gold

it's fully modular

and it's evga which ain't a bad brand. I know that it ain't silverstone but it's not "no name" either :)
