Hi guys,

i need your help

Currently i have

CPU: Intel CORE I7-4770K

Motherbaord: Asus MAXIMUS VII RANGER, Z97

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (4x4GB) 2133MHz CL9

GPU: Asus GeForce GTX1080 Advanced 8GB

PSU: Corsair 750W

SSD/HDD: few of them

And my question is:

Is it worth to upgrade my CPU/motherboard/RAM to new one like i7-7820K or i7-8700(K?) if 95% of my activities are just playing games?

I need to add that im getting married next year, so good bye future possibilities to upgrade to high-end stuff :(

Please help me with that guys :)

Rip lol

8700K will last you long af.

8700K + decent Z370

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

And speaking of Z370, the Z370 M5 is quite good

Mention me if you want to summon me sooner or later

My head on 2019 :

Note 10, S10, Samsung becomes Apple, Zen 2, 3700X, Renegade X lol

You'll most likely see an incremental performance uplift by upgrading to the i7-8700K... so IMO, not worth the upgrade if you're just playing games.

I would look at upgrading something like the monitor or GPU where you'll see a bigger benefit... or save the money to buy a gift for the future missus...

Since you are mostly gaming, a new CPU's won't make that much of a difference unless you're playing in 4K and stuff. I think you should only get a new CPU when you buy a better GPU, which you can't today.

You'll see the least benefit from buying a new CPU at 4K since you're going to be GPU-bound... which is why most reputable reviewers bench CPUs at 1080p.
