I am building my very first pc and I need help to find a cheaper gpu ($200-$280) and not lose that much preformance. If the gpu i have already is the best choice please let me know. Also if there are other parts in my build that could be improved for roughly the same price it would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to have a pc that can run games at 144fps and also handle streaming.

My Build

CPU- AMD Ryzen 5 1600 ($195)

Mother Board- MSI - B350 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard ($80)

RAM- Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB ($162)

Storage- Seagate - BarraCuda 1TB ($45)

GPU- MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GAMING X Video Card ($300)

PSU- EVGA - 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX ($50)

P.S. - Let me know how I did for my first pc build. Thanks for all the help!

ASUS b350 boards all have the same good vrms, better than other brands, Ram support is better and MSI boards arent really good for the b350.

He makes a mistake though, the VRMs with heatsinks are better, well for the ASUS boards and this is from experience. 2x different ASUS b350 boards with heatsink VRMs and the CPU overclocks well (using the 8 core ryzen).

Now thats a solid gaming pc that'll crush 1080p 144hz

The reason i chose the i5 8600k over the r5 1600 is because intel is still superior in gaming and especially if you want 144hz

Also about the ram, i dont think you'll need 16gb unless you plan to do photo editing work. But if you really need it then maybe downgrade to an i5 7600k (dont worry you wont be giving up much performance) and get a sub 90 dollar z270 motherboard and you'll have spare cash to get the 16gb ram

But other than that i think you might want to wait for the gtx 1070 ti and see how that performs before buying, (late october/early november so not that long of a wait) since u might consider the gtx 1070 ti instead or the price of the gtx 1070 will decrease. Hope i helped :)
