Hey guys, I just built a PC but something's wrong, when I turn it on everything lights up but it doesn't boot and it doesn't get to BIOS. I have no Display signal, nothing.

Here are the components:

-CPU: xeon E5-2683 (ES)

-Mobo: MSI X99A SLI plus ATX 2011-3

-GPU: MSI GTX970 4Gb

-Memory: Hyper X fury 32Gb

-PSU: Corsair 850

any idea what the problem might be? i tried another gpu (gtx 1080) but nothing changed so i'm guessing the GPU is not the problem because it works on another PC.

Thanks for the help!

I'm no expert but what people usually recommend is checking the RAM sticks one by one and if it still refuses to boot then check cable connections and maybe try resetting CMOS.

As i said i'm not the best with stuff like this but these are my best bets.

Edit: I would check for bent pins as well in the socket if everything fails.

Wild guest , I think you have the wrong CPU for the motherboard.  Socket are the same but the version I see on ¨ ¨pcpartpicker ¨ is not what you have

Motherboard : MSI - X99A SLI PLUS ATX LGA2011-3

CPU i see :     Xeon E5-2683 V4 2.1GHz 16-Core Processor

I am not sure if they are the same as what you have xeon E5-2683 (ES)

Just my opinion, I could all wrong . It`s possible you simply have a bad cpu

So i got the PC to boot when i removed one of the rams but as soon as i put the second one it gets stuck again, so i plugged one in the channel 1 and one in the channel 3 but it's not recognizing the other although it boots well

Does it work fine with just one stick?

If so it could just be a bad stick or a bad slot on the mobo.

I'd suggest trying to boot with that one stick that makes the system hang and see if that one works solo.

If it doesn't work then it's a bad stick. If it does then it's probably a Motherboard issue.
