I know that there is one at Mainframe, but I am wondering, what size is it?  There are a LOT of paracord needles that appear to be the same thing at Amazon, and if I can get one there with my other stuff I am grabbing there (mostly misc tools and workbench stuff) that will save me the cost of shipping, and possibly a few bucks, that is a big deal overall.  Plus I'd rather not order from too many different places at once.

I made all my custom cables without a threader, it was surprisingly easy. I terminated one end of the wire, then threaded the para cord onto the unterminated end. Terminated it, and melted the ends onto the terminal.

Sync RGB fans with motherboard RGB header.

I believe it's for Paracord 550. Paracord is just a giant PIA to deal with specially when feed wire through it. I suggest using Ensourced paracord if you plan to use paracord. There paracord is allot easier to deal with, I didn't need any kind of threader. Still the best threader was made by Ice-Modz (Shame they closed). MFC Paracord is garbage, Actually MFC has been going down hill allot. Not to mention there allot of misleading items on there site. Some of there terminals are said to be made by Molex when in fact there not there just basic OEM terminals. Even there heatshrink has gone down in quality, I use to only use MFC heatshrink now I refuse to use there junk.

I was wondering the same thing about the paracord needles on Amazon so I picked one up last night. It will be here on Sunday so I'll let you know if it works!

Thanks!  I am wondering if it's worth the extra money to buy from them.  Amazon shipping is WAY cheaper.

Not really looking for it for the paracord.  Word is that the needle also helps with the Kobra sleeving, which is what I want to use as it's the only one with a decent UV purple for the wires.  I am not a fan of Mainframes website, especially from a webdev point of view.  And they only had one thing I even wanted, the damn threader.

The only thing about the paracord threaders that worries me is most of the amazon ones are threaded, but that can be dealt with too I suppose.

Yeah, I saw that.  Problem is they don't have a matching SATA sleeve.  The Purple UV they have for that glows brighter, so would not look right.

At least with the Kobra, it would all be the same.

Color looks pretty much the same. I'm pretty sure it's just the lighting & background they used to shoot the product. Darkside only carries on color purple.

That's weird that they would call one violet and one purple, and show such different images.  Either way, if the test amount of Kobra I got doesn't look as good as I hope, or is a pain to work with, I will pick it up from Daazmode, since they are Canadian like me.  My question is why the 2mm is used for the single cables, but the 4mm for a fan cable.  I figured it would the the other way around.

Fan has four wires vs single PSU wire. by the time you thread all the wires through for the fan it's much thicker then PSU wire.

You can go all the way up to 6mm for single wire sleeving on a PSU.

Paracord, it just a pain to work with. Where MDPC-X the wiring slides through the sleeving very easily.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work for sleeving. The female terminal fits into the hole but the paracord isn't large enough to fit over the needle.

What size Paracord are you using? If your not using Paracord 550 I suggest trying that size with this.

OK. I have a few extra feet of paracord from Ensourced that I will try when I get home. However, the purple paracord is round like your first picture. I hope the Ensourced paracord works but I'm not confident.

I actually found a post on reddit by Joey from Ensourced stating his method for sleeving cables.

Basically, crimp one end only then sleeve from the uncrimped end. I think I'm going to use this method for my cables. You just have to be confident in your stripping/crimping otherwise it's a waste of paracord.

you could also leave one of the strings inside the paracord tie to the wire & pull it through. This is why Paracord is not commonly used when sleeving. It's to much of a PIA.

Try this threader: https://www.amazon.com/Aluminim-Stitching-Jig-Pro-Shop/dp/B00EKPUE34

I just tested paracord from ensourced with 16 AWG 2.5 OD. It doesn't need any kind of threader.

Agree with you on paracord being a PIA. It keeps snagging on the terminals when I try to sleeve over them. The ensourced parcord didn't fit over my threader BTW.

I'd try the one you linked but the MFC threader is the same price so I might as well buy that one.

You don't need a threader for Ensourced, You can thread the wire and terminal through without any issues.

Well, I have some of the Kobra HD and some of the Darkside.  Conclusion: Exactly the same.  Same material, same flexibility, same color, same weave, same UV color glow, same everything.  That being said, it comes down to price and shipping cost.  And if I have to get anything else at the same time.  It is nice that I have two places I can get it from. :D

It can't be the same, Kobra is Paracord and Darkside is PET, two very different materials. Color & UV effect will likely be close. You might get a different UV effects with different wavelengths and if UV lighting is UVA.
