i5 Vs i7

So I'm Looking for a definitive answer as to what CPU would suit me best. I play lots of video games, like rainbow six siege, Minecraft and. but I don't do youtube or anything. Also, Im Afraid if I get an i5 I will regret it.

an i5 would suit you, and if you get the new 6 core coffee lake i5 you'll be even more happier for that choice.

i7, its simply faster and better. But other than that i5 is just saving in money.

although for gaming it wont make much of a difference compared to the price.

Coffeelake lake i5/i7 or Ryzen (instead of Kaby i5).

An i7 is more 'future-proof'. Take Sandy Bridge as an example, the i7 is still rocking it in games today while the i5 has definitely begun to show its age. I know because I recently upgraded to a kaby lake i7 from a 2500k.
